Cat eye makeup gives you a classic, model-inspired look that looks both chic and trendy. The real boom in cat eye makeup came in the fifties of the last century, but its popularity has not been lost to this day. This is the favorite makeup of such legendary celebrities as Audrey Hepburn, Kate Moss, Brigitte Bardot. Below you will find the step-by-step cat eye makeup technique.
Step 1
Cleanse your face, apply a light moisturizing cream and wait until it is completely absorbed. Apply the primer to problem areas and the area around the eyes. It’s better to apply the foundation with your fingers, fixing it on top with a shining powder.
Step 2
Highlight the lower eyelid with the light pearlescent shadows. With a darker shade (chocolate, ash, gold, dark purple), highlight the movable part of the upper eyelid, blending eyeshades well with a brush. To make the cat’s eyes more expressive, you can apply a little light shadow (pink or gold) under your eyebrows.
Step 3
The next step is applying eyeliner. Depending on how bright the makeup should be, they can be applied with a pencil or liquid eyeliner. The wings should go as close to the lash line as possible, repeat the contour of the upper eyelid, and only slightly go beyond the eye line, moving the brush tip outwards.
Step 4
A cat’s eye implies the presence of long doll eyelashes, so you need to apply mascara while lifting each eyelash as much as possible. To create this effect, it is worth trying the vertical method of applying mascara.
Step 5
To complete the cat’s eye makeup, apply a little blush on the cheekbones. Highlight eyebrows with a pencil or eyebrow shadows (if necessary). Do not overdo it, the focus should be on the eyes.
Step 6
And the final touch – apply gloss or lipstick of a light shade on lips. A peach or light pink lipsticks of nude shades, as well as matte lipsticks of natural colors, would be a perfect choice.
